How to Use Narcan (Naloxone)
Narcan saves lives. It's a nasal spray that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose - including fentanyl.

If someone is:
-
Not breathing or gasping for air
-
Unresponsive
-
Has blue or gray lips or fingertips
-
Making gurgling noises

Here's what to do:
-
Call 911
-
Tilt their head back
-
Spray Narcan into one nostril
-
Wait 2-4 minutes
-
If no response, give a second dose
-
Keep them on their side and stay with them until help arrives.

Narcan is safe. You can't hurt someone by using it - even if they didn't take opioids.
*Ohio's Good Samaritan Law protects you. You cannot be arrested for calling 911 or using Narcan to help someone.
